WASHINGTON – U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, the first Texas Senator on the Judiciary Committee since 1961, and Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison announced Thursday that they are accepting applications for the new U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas."Texas has a strong tradition of being served by excellent U.S. Attorneys, and I hope we continue that tradition and build on it throughout our state’s four federal judicial districts. Public service is a high calling, and I encourage all who are interested to apply for this position,” Sen. Cornyn said. Those interested in being considered should submit a resume and completed questionnaire to both Senators by no later than December 31. Express mail is recommended because of delays due to the enhanced security procedures involving Congressional mail.The questionnaire is available on Sen. Cornyn’s website, at www.cornyn.senate.gov.
