WASHINGTON – In advance of his meeting at the White House, U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) discussed the inclusion of his Foreign Investment Risk Review Modernization Act (FIRRMA), legislation to strengthen the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) review process, in the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2019. “This is a bill that deals with the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States and something we’ve been working together with Secretary Mnuchin, the Department of Justice, the Department of Defense, and others on.”
