WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) today released the following statement after President Trump signed an Executive Order to impose sanctions against foreign entities, individuals, and governments that interfere in U.S. elections:  

“This Executive Order marks a strong response by an Administration who committed to ensuring our elections can remain free and fair. I applaud the President for sending a clear message to bad actors who wish to undermine our democratic process and for taking steps to improve election security moving forward.”
