WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX), a member of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, released the following statement after former U.S. Senator Dan Coats (R-IN) was confirmed as Director of National Intelligence (DNI):

“As threats to our national security continue to grow, I have no doubt that Senator Coats will faithfully serve both the intelligence community and the American people in the name of protecting the country.  I look forward to working with him and the Administration to ensure we’re doing all we can to keep Americans safe, and to combat national security threats at home and abroad.”
