U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, made the following statement regarding the onset of military action to disarm Saddam Hussein:"America and our allies are now sending a clear, unmistakable message: Time’s up. Iraq failed to disarm, and ignored the resolutions of the United Nations, but they can’t ignore the overwhelming firepower that was the last resort of a patient world.”
