This week, the Senate confirmed the President’s nominee to the Supreme Court, Justice Neil Gorsuch.
After clerking on the Supreme Court under not one but two Justices, practicing at a top law firm, serving in the Department of Justice, and spending a decade on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, Justice Gorsuch is well-prepared to serve on our nation’s highest court.
Justice Gorsuch is a man of superb qualifications and incredible integrity. He’s a distinguished jurist with an impeccable legal and academic record, and I’m happy to have him on the United States Supreme Court.
Republicans promised to let the American people decide who will select the next Supreme Court nominee. We did that, and this week we made good on that promise by confirming Justice Gorsuch.
