September 5, 2025

WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) released the following statement in response to President Trump signing into law his Improving Veteran Experience Act, which will make permanent the Veterans Experience Office (VEO) within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), ensuring it can continue to provide consistent and quality care for veterans in Texas and throughout the country:

“The brave men and women who have selflessly served our country deserve the highest-quality health care, services, and benefits,” said Sen. Cornyn.“The Veterans Experience Office helps the VA deliver tailored, efficient customer service to our veterans, and I’m glad this legislation has been signed into law to make it permanent.”

This legislation was also led by Senator Angus King (I-ME).

Background:

Established in 2015, the VEO collects veterans’ feedback through surveys and uses that data to continuously improve the VA’s website and other resources used by veterans interacting with the VA.
