U.S. Capitol Flag Requests
Senator Cornyn’s office would be glad to request an American flag that has been flown over the United States Capitol building for interested Texans.
American flags may be flown for Texans on a specific date within 15 to 45 days. Please note that the United States Senate is only able to fly American flags over the Capitol in Washington, D.C. and does not offer the service of flying a Texas state flag over the United States Capitol – see below for more information about flying a Texas flag in Austin.
Click the red button above to begin the process of placing your online flag request. You will be redirected to Senator Cornyn’s External Flag Portal, which is a processing website run by the U.S. Senate Sergeant at Arms, Printing, Graphics & Direct Mail.
Once a flag order has been received, the normal processing time is six to eight weeks. Processing time may vary around federal holidays. The U.S. Senate, members, and staff are not responsible for flags lost or damaged in the mail.
