November 6, 2025

Unfortunately, we have seen a resurgence of another vile ideology in recent times – antisemitism, the world's oldest form of hate.

Republicans in the House and the Senate rallied to the defense of American Jews facing this rising tide of hatred from the radical fringes of the Left.

I hope all of us alike will recommit ourselves to upholding the dignity of every individual in this country and around the world.

WASHINGTON – Today on the floor, U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) reaffirmed his unwavering support for the Jewish people that is rooted in our nation’s foundational principles of freedom of speech and freedom of association and condemned the abhorrent, rising tide of antisemitism sweeping across our nation, particularly from the Democrat Party. Excerpts of Sen. Cornyn’s remarks are below, and video can be found here.

“It is worth reflecting on the enduring principles that have made our nation unique in the world, and perhaps the most foundational of these ideas enshrined in the Declaration of Independence itself is that all of us are created equal, and we are endowed with our Creator with certain unalienable rights.”

“Free speech is essential to our Democratic Republic, to the whole idea of self-government.”

“Unfortunately, we have seen a resurgence of another vile ideology in recent times – antisemitism, the world’s oldest form of hate.”

“Republicans in the House and the Senate rallied to the defense of American Jews facing this rising tide of hatred from the radical fringes of the Left.”

“[New York Mayor-Elect] Mamdani has expressed on multiple occasions a willingness to direct the police to arrest Prime Minister Netanyahu if he were ever to visit New York City. The Left has openly embraced this radical candidate, and now he’s been elected as Mayor of America’s largest city.”

“President Trump, unlike his predecessor, has had no hesitation directly confronting the antisemitism working still in our higher education system.”

“Standing up for the truth and condemning evil does not amount to canceling people. Freedom of speech and freedom of association both allow institutions and individuals to condemn evil when they see it.”

“As we approach the 250th anniversary of this great country of ours, I hope all of us alike will recommit ourselves to upholding the dignity of every individual in this country and around the world.”
