WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) today met with South Texas leaders and RGV Partnership members, including Chairwoman Amanda Saldana Ramirez, President Paco Sanchez, City of Edinburg Mayor Omar Ochoa, and City of Brownsville Mayor John Cowen. They discussed efforts to ensure Mexico delivers the water it owes South Texas farmers and ranchers as required by the 1944 Water Treaty, the Port of Brownsville’s industrial and defense boom, and provisions in the Working Families Tax Cuts Act that are supporting businesses and expanding educational opportunities for Texas students.
